Music scene in India and Pakistan

It is very contrasting to say the least. And India is on the dark side. I normally am not a big fan of anything Pakistani, for that matter Pakistan on the whole. But I have to confess; they have an enviable music scene. India on the other hand has embraced sleazy, cheap and appalling remixes of the songs from the golden (evergreen) era. It makes me sick to the gut. They Indian music industry is murdering the Indian oldies. Something has to be done. I am surprised that there is no good original music coming from India. Something somewhere is wrong.
