Reading the Time of India early morning brings a myriad of thoughts. The news of SC staying the OBC quota strengthens the faith in the Indian judiciary. It gives hope to the students who opposed it and fought against it, esp the medical student from Delhi. Three cheers to you guys! An interesting observation that SC pointed out is that India is probably the only nation where its people try hard to prove that he is more backward than the other.
Then there is this other news that the sex ratio in India is declining. I really fail to understand this. Bringing a new life in this world in itself is such a miracle and then to grudge over a minor detail like the sex of the child, it’s so unfortunate.
And the final interesting news is that some swimmer from Kolhapur, Maharashtra qualified for the Beijing Olympics. A welcome news in a nation which is mourning the demise of it’s cricket.
